The Scarborough Business Association will be among exhibitors at the first Opportunities for the Future day, celebrating manufacturing and technology in Scarborough.
The Oct. 13 event, from 9 a.m. to Noon, is an opportunity for young people 18-29 looking for a new career to learn about locally produced products and future career opportunities in the Scarborough manufacturing and technology sectors. The event will be at the Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Drive.
It’s a chance to meet industry professionals and leaders.
You can register online at Toronto.ca/ecportal (keyword celebrating) or contact Nicole Green at 416-397-1026 for more information.
“We have a larger tech and manufacturing sector than many believe we do. There are great products and services being produced here. We encourage all opportunities for Scarborough residents to learn about their local success stories and perhaps build a bright future with one of those companies,” said SBA board member Peter Haggert.
The Scarborough Business Association was formed last October with goals to promote networking, education and opportunity to Scarborough businesses. For more information on the SBA call 416-972-6482 or go to www.scarboroughbusinessassociation.com .
