The Scarborough Business Association is a community-focused organization that supports and advocates for local businesses in the Scarborough region through networking, resources, and economic development initiatives.
Founded in 2015, the Scarborough Business Association (SBA) was created to unite, support, and advocate for the dynamic and diverse business community in Scarborough. Emerging from the 2014 Scarborough Rotary Club, the SBA was formed through the collaboration of local business leaders, community champions, and institutions who saw the need for a strong, united voice to drive economic growth and opportunity in the region.
Officially launched on October 22, 2015, the SBA began with the support of key partners including Centennial College, the University of Toronto Scarborough, Metroland Media, and Scarborough Town Centre. From the beginning, the association has been a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization focused on building connections, encouraging local investment, and promoting the unique strengths of Scarborough’s business landscape.
Our Mission is to:
Create meaningful connections through events, forums, and networking opportunities.
Support local businesses with advocacy, education, and resources that help them grow.
Promote Scarborough as a thriving economic hub with unmatched diversity, talent, and potential.
The SBA is proud to be a platform where businesses—large and small—can collaborate, learn, and lead.
Together, we’re shaping a stronger, more prosperous future for Scarborough.
